|
3.5-Day Retreat,
BLSV-Haus BergSee, Spitzingsee |
At this retreat in a remote seminar hotel in the Bavarian Alps, the doctoral researchers, postdocs and PIs of TRR 174 had ample time to exchange their results and ideas. All early-career scientists working in the consortium gave presentations of their projects, followed by intensive discussions of the data and the potential to start additional collaborations. Moreover, they met without the PIs to discuss issues and collect suggestions for activities. In parallel, the PIs gathered to determine the directions of the consortium in the second half of the funding period. Various group activities and ample spare time fostered informal interactions among all TRR 174 members.

Jul 5-6
|
Young Scientists Retreat,
JLU Gießen |
At this retreat, the early-career researchers formed discussion groups in which they exchanged ideas and results on defined scientific topics, such as ParA-like proteins, chromosome organization & segregation, cell shape & division, model & experiment, protein-protein interactions, and methods. The program also included a talk and discussion with an invited speaker (Geraldine Laloux, de Duve Institute, Belgium) as well as a social program.
